(These FAQ’S apply for Ming’s policies, each stylist at The Moon has their own policies. Please reach out to your stylist directly if you have any questions or concerns.)
What can I do to prepare at home to have the best color experience?
Please come to your appointment with clean hair, washed within 24 hours is best. Minimal to no styling products ( no gel, hairspray or mousse) Hair must be brushed, and tangle-free. This is very important to ensuring you get the best color results possible.
How can I get optimal longevity out of my color?
Use professional styling products only recommended by your stylist. Wash hair minimally for brightness if you have creative fantasy colors, and in cooler water. Avoid pools, hot tubs, saunas and the ocean or wrap hair in a cap to protect from salt water and chlorine damage.
Are kids or pets allowed?
Children may accompany parents for shorter appointments, anything longer than 1 hour we recommend having assistance. Please be reminded that the salon is a place of chemicals, hot tools, breakable items and sharp objects so we ask that children are supervised at ALL times. For dogs please contact your stylist ahead of time, this is circumstantial.
Where do I park?
Parking is available in the left spot of The Moon's parking lot, if that space is full metered parking is available streetside or in neighboring parking lots. Quarters or Parkmobile App can be used to pay for parking. Free parking is available on Center Street, right past The Moon on the right if you are coming South from River Street.
Policies
Pricing: Pricing is set independently set by each stylist.
Tardiness: Please let Ming know if you will be more than 5 minutes late. After 15 minutes, your appointment will be subject to cancellation and or rescheduling.
Deposits: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to book an appointment with Ming. No show clients or cancellations within 24 hours will result in your deposit being kept. One reschedule is allowed per service booking, please contact Ming if this is needed. If you need to reschedule, as long as it is before the 24 hour mark before your appointment you have one reschedule with the deposit that was paid. After the one reschedule a new appointment will need to be made.
Children: Children clients under 18 are required to have an adult accompanying them at all times during their appointment. Ming has a no-drop off policy for minor clients.
